Paul William Walker IV was born on September 12, 1973, in Glendale California. Paul grew up in San Fernando Valley. Starting as early as a baby, Paul was noticed as Pampers commercial star. Knowing that appear on TV was what he wanted, teenage Paul took some guest role appearances in TV series.
In 1987 he played Prof. Bennet in Monster in the Closet (1986). He then starred in the television series, Throb (1986) as Diana Canova's son for a year before being replaced by Sean De Veritch. He also made guest appearances on several television shows including Charles in Charge (1984),Highway to Heaven (1984),Who's the Boss? (1984) and Diff'rent Strokes (1978). Paul also had a role in the soap opera The Young and the Restless (1973).
After high... (více) school, Walker attended various California community colleges, but he dove into acting full-time in 1993, taking a role in the soap opera The Young and the Restless. After a handful of TV guest roles and the lead in Tammy and the T-Rex, Walker starred in the family comedy Meet the Deedles and left his TV career behind for good.
Walker's next role was a big one for his career: He appeared opposite Reese Witherspoon and Tobey McGuire in the critically acclaimed, high-concept Pleasantville. From that point on, Walker found himself in starring roles in such late-1990s films as She's All That, Varsity Blues (as a football jock) and The Skulls, which was directed by Rob Cohen presented him as a member of mysterious fraternity in a college.
After “The Skulls”, time was flying for Paul. Pinned by Cohen again, he got his first adult role as detective Brian O'Conner in “The Fast and the Furious” (2001) opposite Vin Diesel. Despite the little expectation of becoming a hit, this movie struck the audiences as a stimulating and adrenalin-pumping movie. It was based on an article about Japanese late night racing. The plotline was not so complex and the action worth a praise. The following year the movie received some awards. Paul and Diesel won an MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Team while the same awards nominated Paul for Breakthrough Male Performance. Cohen was by that time a top director, Diesel was a potential star and Paul was a runner for leading roles.
While notfilming, Walker was active in Reach Out Worldwide, a nonprofit organization he formed in 2010 to bring aid to regions devastated by natural disasters.
On November 30th, 2013, Paul Walker was being driven home from a charity event for his Reach Out Worldwide organization to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, when the car, a $250,000 Porsche Carrera GT, crashed into a bumper and caught on fire, killing both the driver and Paul. The car was engulfed in flames and both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
At the time of his death, Walker was working on two upcoming films: Brick Mansions and Fast & Furious 7, both slated to be released in 2014.
